Let's get something straight about Wales

I have had several conversations with North American people about a certain subject very close to my heart, so I would now like to set the record straight. Wales is a country. It is not a principality and definitely not a part of England. It is one of four countries that make up the British Isles. Therefore, anyone from England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland are both British and either English, Scottish, Welsh or Northern Irish. Even though I am from the country of Wales, many people (absurdly) still do not believe me, so here is proof absolute.... Wales. And now, proof absolute of how beautiful this country really is, admire please..... (All the photos below were taken at an area known as Gower, South Wales)

The Rhondda - my home

The Rhondda Valleys grew up around the coal mining industry and attracted people from all over the World as there was much work available, (albeit difficult, dangerous and dirty). The terraced housing as you can see is very typical, rising up the mountains and once providing shelter to the workers in the pits. Now, the coal mining industry is all but obsolete, the mountains and rivers are clean again and the population still shows signs of it's once multi-cultural heritage.
