This is an art installation just outside our building. It attracts a lot of attention and mimicking one of the stances whilst having your photo taken seems to be a popular activity with ESL students. The artist is Yue Min Jin. The dark rainy sky and the beautiful flowerbed and trees behind seemed to create a moment to capture.
Vancouver park board really takes care of the small flowerbeds dotted all over the city, changing them often to reflect the seasons and maintain the beautiful effect. This is one of many tulip beds at English Bay.
For Vancouverites who like to eat at restaurants - the new venture by former Lumiere chef Dale McKay is really taking shape. I snapped this from the bus on Friday.
Fish for sale at Steveston, our local fishing village. I think these were snapper or maybe rockfish.
